Quarter Life Crisis
Quarter-master
Lindsay sent me a video via email the other day that I found pretty impressive. So being the nice guy that I am, I went out and tracked it down on the web so I could share it with all of you.
Basically it's a college kid doing some pretty amazing things with a few quarters and a shot glass. Yes I know that it could be edited, and yes I know that he probably missed a bunch and they didn't put it on tape. But who cares? Check it out.
The Coin Master
Snakebit Redbirds
"It's hard to call the team with the
best record in the major leagues snakebitten" said Frank Cusamano, KSDK sports anchor on Sunday. But what else can you call it when four of your opening day starters have each missed a month or more of play.
Now you have your all star, six time gold glove winning third baseman
out for good with season ending shoulder surgery, and your potential gold glove winning and hot hitting second baseman
out with a bad knee infection from a cut that hasn't properly healed.
But somehow we keep winning. Coming from behind in the bottom of the ninth, getting great starting pitching, and contributions from all our reserve players. And now Molina and Walker are back. I still believe...
Softball Season Review
Tomorrow night should be my last softball game of the season. For those of you who weren't aware, I was playing in a co-ed "beer drinking" softball league for
The Billy Goat Restaurant & Bar. It's the first organized sport I've played since early college when I was playing roller hockey at the
Kirkwood community center. I found out quickly how out of shape I really am after the first few games.
I started the season pretty well. Batted 1.000 and had a couple of walks through the first 3 games or so. Had quite a few putouts in the OF and played a game at 3rd base where I assisted on 1/3 of the outs in the game.
Unfortunately
after returning from Las Vegas in my first game back, I severely injured my right foot. I played out the rest of the game but I knew something was very wrong. The injury caused me to miss the next 5 or 6 games. I still haven't been to the doctor to see what actually happened either. For all I know I could be walking around with a small hairline fracture in my foot. It still hurts to this day if I put too much pressure on it, or whenever it rains oddly enough.
I finished the rest of the season much worse than I started. I batted only about .500 (not good for a guy in a co-ed league) and obviously had trouble running the bases as fast. My defense was still solid and I continued to improve at 3rd base and in the OF. One game assisted on 3 double plays (catching people who forgot to tag up on fly balls) from CF.
Our team was pretty good and it looks like we'll finish the season in 2nd place behind the dreaded "Death Row Softball" team. The team who's male players went out and recruited female college softball players from
Lindenwood college to represent the fairer sex on the team. Not to mention that their smallest guy was as big as our largest guy, and they could all stroke the ball. They looked as if they were going to go undefeated but after we had to forfeit last week due to lack of players, we teamed our best players up with the third place teams best players (The Fockers)and gave em a beating. Justice served.
Bad Album Covers
I stumbled upon a website a few weeks back with some of the worst album covers of all time. These things are pretty bad.
Check out the full gallery here or

Wow! Scary aren't they?
Natural Selection Through Stupidity
I don't really have too much to say about
this story, where a Korean dude died after playing video games for 50 hours straight. Dumbass.
For All My Piss Pals
New Phone!
Finally after 4 plus years of owning my trusty
Audiovox CDM-9100 cell phone (which was only on the market for 2 days back when I bought it), I went out and got me a new one. I went "big pimpin" on this one and dropped some serious dough. Went with the top of the line
LG VX-8100 (although it's no
Blackberry or
T-Mobile Sidekick so I guess it's just "upper-middleclass pimpin") It's got just about everything you could possibly need though. Check out the sweet specs in the full PDF file brochure by clicking

Dream Job
For the most part, I'm not really a big fan of watching reality TV. I never said anything about
being on a reality show though. So I'm applying to be on "
The Biz", a new webcast only reality show. "Why on earth would I do such a thing?" you might be asking yourself. Follow the previous link and go read about what this show is actually about. I can't pass up an opportunity like this.
