Prongs, Backman, and several other of the big name Blues have been given qualifying offers, retaining their free agent rights which basically says they're going to be on the team. The Blues have already signed Khavanov and Drake among others and today resigned one of last years late additions, Eric Weinrich.

Already on the outs as I mentioned earlier is Demitra. Now unfortunately close behind is Scott Mellanby. Fox Sports reported that after private discussions with Blues GM Larry Pleau, Mellanby has begun talks with his old team the Florida Panthers.
